Mark trained in voice and composition at Cardiff University, and gained his MA in Composing for Film, Television and Theatre from the University of Bristol.

Currently: Assistant Musical Director on the West End production of Billy Elliot The Musical (Victoria Palace). Other current projects also include Musical Supervisor for the 2011 UK Tour of Britain's Got Bhangra, and co-writing two new recently workshopped musicals with writer/director Phil Willmott, Lost Boys: Neverland Grows Up for Liverpool Playhouse, and Princess Caraboo for Bristol Old Vic, with both slated for full production in 2012.

Recent credits include MD/Arranger for the new musical Britain's Got Bhangra (Theatre Royal, Stratford East and UK Tour), recently nominated for the TMA award for Best Musical Production, Deputy Keys/Vocals on Jersey Boys (Prince Edward),  MD for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and Cinderella (Bristol Hippodrome), Over The Threshold (Jermyn St Theatre), Sweeney Todd (CSSD), Asst MD/Arranger for Once Upon A Time At The Adelphi (Liverpool Playhouse & Trafalgar Studios), which won the 2008 TMA award for Best Musical Production, and MD for various workshops of new British musicals including Sex & The Village, In Touch and Laurence Mark Wythe's The Lost Christmas (Perfect Pitch Musical Development).  

Other credits include Associate Musical Director for the multi award winning revival of La Cage Aux Folles (Menier Chocolate Factory), Musical Supervisor for Adam Guettel's Myths & Hymns (European Premiere), Keys 2 on Cats and Lucky Stiff (Arts Ed), MD/orchestrator for Grant Olding's Three Sides (London & New York), MD/Arranger for City Of Angels (English Theatre, Frankfurt) and Nikolai Foster's productions of Oliver! and Singin' In The Rain (Courtyard Theatre, Hereford).  

Concerts: Associate MD for A Spoonful Of Stiles & Drewe (Her Majesty's, West End), guest conductor for WhatsOnStage Awards (Prince of Wales), Best Friends and Butterflies (BBC Big Band, Shoreditch Park), and pianist for the popular West End concert series Notes From New York (Donmar Warehouse, Duchess, Arts Theatre, Trafalgar Studios). 

Recording: Julie Atherton's A Girl Of Few Words, MD/Pianist/Arranger for Gemma Atkins' Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow both for MaKing Records.  MD/Pianist for Leanne Masterton's Before The Parade Passes By - The Music and Lyrics of Jerry Herman for Dress Circle Records.  

TV/Film work includes: How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? (BBC/Andrew Lloyd Webber), Life Stories: David Hasslehoff (Piers Morgan/ITV), composer for short film The Alchemistic Suitcase (dir. Joe Stephenson) 

Mark has also taught at the Guildford School of Acting, Arts Educational, Mountview Academy, Goldsmiths University and the London School of Musical Theatre.
